A Lesson Series is a collection related lessons that have been selected, curated and fall into a logical sequence to study and learn. Each series has a progression of lessons that builds upon the previous lessons. With the number of lessons on the site well over 600 lessons and counting. Choosing what lessons to start with or what to work on without any guidance can be a bit of daunting task - "How do you work on the unknown?".

Alternating Thumb Fingerpicking on Ukulele
This is the common alternating thumb and two finger strumming style utilizing the thumb, index and middle fingers. Commonly called “Travis” picking in the guitar world. This series of lessons explores and adapts this style to ukulele. Travis Picking is a finger-style made famous by Merle Travis and Chet Atkins. This style is commonly played on steel string acoustic guitars. Cool Chords are those crazy chords you won't find in a chord dictionary, software, chord chart, etc... They're a product of understanding how chords are constructed and how to derive them from known chords. These are the chords other players will say: "What's that crazy chord you're playing?".
Core Ukulele Chords - The Big Six
Core Chords for Ukulele, The Big Six - From four F7 chord voicings or shapes, your can build your massive 4-part, a.k.a., “jazz” chord vocabulary. Beyond basic open position chords, basic movable form chords and a core set of 4-part chords. There are just too many chords shapes too memorize. Learning the principles of how chords are constructed and the ukulele fingerboard are the way to go. Then you can create more advanced chords like 9#11, 7#5-9, 13b5, 7+9 on the fly as needed.
Exploring Improvisation Using Tetrachords
Traditionally, a tetrachord is a series of four tones filling in the interval of a perfect fourth. In modern usage a tetrachord is any four-note segment of a scale or tone row including the augmented fourth (+4). The term tetrachord derives from ancient Greek music theory, it literally means four strings.
Getting Started Series of `Ukulele Lessons
This series of lessons is intended to take a beginning ukulele player, just Getting Started through the basics. Harmonic Analysis for Scale and Chord Selection
Harmonic Analysis is the process used to determine the harmonic function of chords within a chord progression or song. A chord progression is defined as a sequence of chords, each chord has a root and is a particular chord type. The relationship of a chord's to a scale determines its function within that scale's tonality.

Just browsing over both books, they look fantastic!
