At Sparrow Ukuleles their goal is to provide world class quality at a reasonable and accessible price. All of there instruments are designed and manufactured in Richmond, Va. Their focus on steel string, magnetic pickup ukes that sound and play wonderfully. The Alnico magnet pickups are custom designed and hand wound their our shop to provide rich, warm tone and sonic versatility. John holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance and played professionally in the US Navy Band. He was introduced to the ukulele while stationed at Pearl Harbor, HI. This exposure spawned a lifelong love of the instrument that lit the spark that would become Sparrow Instruments.

John has 15 years of musical intrument repair under his belt, and has been building guitars and ukes since 2014. He is pationate about woodworking, digital design and teaches the CNC class at Woodcraft in Richmond, Virginia.
