2025 Updates
LearningUkulele.com / Learning Ukulele with Curt is in its 22nd year. It seems like just yesterday (2003) Curt got into the Ukulele — time does really fly.
September
  • NEW & UPDATED Working on a new layout for 2026 on LearningUkulele.com. It implements light and dark mode site settings. However, it will take a few months to get all the pages working in dark mode. So, for now with the page that use the old layout light mode will render better. Several pages and sections have already been updated to use the new layout: News , Updates , Glossary of Terms , and more….

  • NEW & UPDATED LearningUkulele.com has been updated to us tailwindcss v4 . Took a while to get it to actually work as my css style sheets where a mess (self-inflicted). So, there might be a few small formatting and sizing issues as I move forward with the site and updates.
  • NEW & UPDATED LearningUkulele.com & Funky Frets will be at the Philadelphia Folk Festival, August 15 to 17 in Old Pool Farm in Upper Salford Township. Presented by the Philadelphia Folksong Society, the festival fosters music discovery in a safe and family-friendly setting with camping, food trucks, educational workshops, a variety of vendors, and activities for all ages.

Price Increase
Starting January 1, 2025, with the sale of our Funky Frets Music Store building (the music business IS continuing). Curt (so strange typing in third-person), is attempting, dedicating even more time to LearningUkulele.com and Learning Ukulele with Curt, like I don't already put full-time effort into it. I'll be firing up the ZOOM workshops again January 2, 2025. Starting with the FREE Learning the Ukulele Fingerboard workshop.

Site GOLD Membership

Starting 2025 price will increase to $14 a month.

A Monthly subscription is a great way to support the effort that goes into adding great content and keeping the lights on at LearningUkulele.com and Learning Ukulele with Curt.

Site FOREVER Membership

Starting 2025 price will increase to $399.

If you're not a fan of subscriptions as Curt is and don't like monthly subscriptions, never want to pay again, and really want to support LearningUkulele.com and Learning Ukulele with Curt. Then a FOREVER Premium Membership is for you. If you were taking private one-on-one lessons, $399 could be only a couple of months worth of private lessons.

On the web since 1992 and a Mac since 1987 (Mac II) • Serving up Ukulele content since 2003 ( 22 years ago ) • Lets Kanikapila!!! v12.13.0 (8.2.23) • And, since Sept 2020, happily on Pop!_OS Linux and a System76 Thelio. Half the cost of the iMac and a real treat to use. I use it for ALL development work. Only wish the Affinity Suite of apps by serif where available on Linux (and I do know you can run them in Wine with a few hacks).
