This promises to a wonderful weekend in the beautiful Cumbrian countryside, at the comfortable Gilsland Spa hotel. Two nights full board accommodation with concerts and workshops included! The whole hotel has been booked - all guests will be booked on the Big House in the Country Ukulele Weekend!

Bracklesham Ukulele Weekends are hosted by George & Mandi from the award-winning Opera-lele and take place by the sea, three times a year. Over the past 10 or so festivals, the gatherings have gone from strength to strength and have featured many performers including Andy Eastwood, Phil Doleman, Peter Moss, Andrea Cooke, Dead Man's Uke, Sam Brown, Pete Brown, Matthew Quilliam, Plastic Jeezus, Paul Mansell, Ukulele Simon, Marc Gallagher, Phillipa Leigh, Alex Beds, League of Ukulele Gentlemen, The Mersey Belles, The Hedge Inspectors, Opera-lele, Tin Roof Strollers, Elisabeth Pfeiffer, Southern Beauty, Percy Copley, LunaBarge and many more! The events move between Shanklin on the Isle of Wight in March, our new event in Jersey each April and Eastbourne on the South East coast in October each year.

Our festival feature the world’s best ukulele acts. We’ll have performers from across the globe and around the country. Expect a wide range of talented, surprising and fun acts.

The weekend will focus on workshops informal sessions and open mic concerts with a ceilidh and special guest spot on the Saturday evening. Tickets are £30 per person for the whole weekend. Camping is £7 per night per unit (tent, caravan or camper).

The annual festival is held over three days from in June. Precise details will be provided in the programme, but for those who have not been before, the web site gives an approximate breakdown of activities throughout the weekend.

The Ukulele Festival of Great Britain - possibly the biggest and best uke fest outside of Hawaii - well, that's what we're told!

It's hard to believe that 2015 will be the SIXTH Ukulele Festival of Great Britain: SIX years since the amazing Ukuhooley in Dublin inspired us to launch the biggest and best ukulele event this country had ever seen; SIX years of bringing the most talented, most awesome, most funny, most fabulous, most unbelievable ukulele acts in the world to the beautiful festival town of Cheltenham in the heart of the Cotswolds; SIX years of wonderful workshops, stunning stalls, jazzy jam sessions, great open mic performances, and the brilliant Big Busk; SIX years spreading the ukulele love to an ever-growing family of fantastic new friends.
