A4-Letter Reference

The A Series was adopted in Europe in the 19th century, and is currently used all around the world, apart from in the USA and Canada.

NOTE: Printing A4 to US Letter Size: As the sizes are relatively close, simple select Scale to Fit and the A4 size will print out fine.

There are four traditional triads: Major, Minor, Diminished and Augmented. Based on a major scale an Augmented triad contains the following intervals: Root (1), 3, #5.

A one octave fingering solution is presented for each finger starting on strings four, three , two, and one. Beyond these fingering solutions, there are many alternate and extended patterns available.

Master these fingerings and unlock your potential for improvisation.

Tunings: C with low or high G - (GCEA or gCEA).
