Hop ‘n Uke Fest

A one of a kind music event on Saturday, April 30th, 2022 from 12-8 pm: Hop ‘n Uke Fest. First done at Adventure Brewing North in 2019, this event has been postponed by the dreaded pandemic…but we are BACK! Conceived and planned by Uke artists Alan Remick and Larry Hinkle, with over 6 hours of music, vendors, beer, and food. Hop ‘n Uke Fest will definitely have something for everyone.

Lake Anne Plaza Ukulele Festival

July marks the annual ritual when ukulele fans head to the waterfront at Lake Anne and enjoy the tranquil tunes when the plaza hosts its popular Lake Anne Ukulele Festival. The free festival features performances by several internationally known and local ukulele musicians, music demonstrations, open to the public jam session, festival vendors, and other family friendly activities. This festival is the only ukulele festival in Northern Virginia, which has brought thousands of people to Lake Anne from across the region for this event.

On the web since 1992 and a Mac since 1987 (Mac II) • Serving up Ukulele content since 2003 ( 22 years ago ) • Lets Kanikapila!!! v12.13.0 (8.2.23) • And, since Sept 2020, happily on Pop!_OS Linux and a System76 Thelio. Half the cost of the iMac and a real treat to use. I use it for ALL development work. Only wish the Affinity Suite of apps by serif where available on Linux (and I do know you can run them in Wine with a few hacks).
