Born and raised on the island of Oahu, Pat (Palika, in Hawaiian) is a master of Hawaiian ukulele. Pat has performed professionally throughout the United States as a live entertainer and also as a studio vocalist and musician. He has appeared onstage with top entertainers at concerts in Hawaii and on the Mainland. As a solo entertainer or with one of several musical groups with which he appears regularly Pat has headlined at restaurants and nightclubs and has performed at hundreds of weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, retirement parties, luaus, corporate events, and other special occasions.
Palika is also well-known to students of the ukulele. For the past few years, he has conducted ukulele workshops and instructional courses throughout Southern California at ukulele festivals and clubs, music stores, colleges, a Princess Line ukulele cruise and at the Irvine Adult School. His ‘playing-by-ear’ presentation is unique and entertaining, and well received by the hundreds of uke players who have heard him play and teach. Pat also serves as Alaka’i (Conductor) for the Ukulele Society of America.
