Checkout the Ko'olau Guitar & Ukulele listing for an idea of what I can do. I'm a big fan of their instruments and play a custom Ko'olau CS Tenor, actually have two as one is a back up in training.
Here you will find the product line of the french musician and luthier Jean Paul Charles, living in Salvador Bahia (Brazil) since 1995. The Jean Paul's core competence is in manufacturing acoustic and electric mandolins, mostly made of tropical solid woods. He has gained this experience by repairing stringed instruments during 18 years and by playing mandolin during 30 years. He also graduated from the ENSAAMA, Applied Arts and Art Profissions school (Paris 1977).
Makes an acoustic **Cavaquinho** (D,G,B,D tuned) follows the traditional Brazilian design, with only a few differences: a flat peghead (not slotted) for a better stiffness and crossed braces under soundboard. Can also be tuned and played as a genuine **Ukulele**.
A cavaquinho player is called a*cavaquista.*
More information available on the Jean Paul Charles's web site.
