Doleman Phil Musicians
Phil is one of the most recognizable players on the UK ukulele scene, and has been at the forefront of the ukulele revival for the last 10 years (possibly longer, see the photo on the right!) A ‘player’s player’, he is in demand for festivals (both as a performer and as a workshop leader), theater and club gigs, and private events in the UK and Europe. He has appeared on several albums, performed on radio and TV, and has shared the stage with some of the world’s finest players.
The Strumalong Guitar & Ukulele School Schools
Learn how to play the Guitar or Ukulele the fun way? My company is based on the belief that my customers’ needs are of the utmost importance. I am committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of my business is from repeat customers and referrals. I have been playing the guitar from the age of 14 so my 40 + years of experience could be at your fingertips.
Clive Harvey Musicians
Clive Harvey, Surrey-based ukulele player and teacher, guitar player and teacher, songwriter. If you were looking for his website, well done, you've found it. If you weren't, well, you've found it anyway and, who knows? – it could be your lucky day. Was it Confucius who said, "Knowledge gained by accident is no accident; listen to what the universe is telling you" – or was it Obi Wan Kenobi? Actually it was me, but it's true. If you don't know the reason why the cybersurf has tossed you up on this particular beach, read on, maybe all will become clear soon.
Ralph Shaw Musicians
Ralph Shaw divides his time between recording music CDs, making DVDs (on how to play the ukulele), songwriting and live performance and is well known as Vancouver’s King of the Ukulele! His earliest employment in show business was as a children’s entertainer known as Ralph the Clown (motto = Making the World Laugh – music included no batteries required) Ralph the Clown. In 1990 he discovered the ukulele and along with it a love of some of the great songs of the 20s, 30s and 40s. His grandfather owned a 1920’s ukulele and this was probably Ralph’s earliest inspiration to play the instrument which the Hawaiians call the Jumping Flea.

Just browsing over both books, they look fantastic! I'm a guitarist and uke player for over 25 years and was thinking about writing a ukulele book but you've already written what I think are the best, most comprehensive and thorough books I've ever seen for the instrument. I just might end up buying every book you've written and I'll be giving my highest recommendation for your books to my friends and students. Thank you so much for taking the time to write such great books! — Peter Rhee
