The Pentatonic Scale
Sometimes called the Major Pentatonic, the pentatonic scale has been the source of more simple melodies than any other scale. Melodies like Camptown Races,Oh! Susanna, Amazing Grace, I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause, and Sweet Georgia Brown – just the name a few. Song hooks and licks like MyGirluse the pentatonic scale.

A scale is simply a collection of pitches or notes, not really a "this is a Jazz scale", "this is a Blues" or "this is a Rock scale". It's how a scale is used that really matters not its name.
