With undertones of cabaret, it is an intimate yet wildly entertaining experience - an engaging blend of musicianship, humour and the (very) unexpected!

Doug made his first guitar in 1970, when dissatisfaction with various commercial guitars prompted a colleague to suggest he make one. His association with making and repairing instruments has been continuous since then.

Gold Coast Ukulele Players (G-Cup) an attempt to get ukulele players together on a regular basis for a bit of fun, a jam and to share skills. Whether you are a new player or a professional you are welcome. New players will learn chords and songs and the more experienced players will perform and share skills. For sure we will all play along together to songs of varying degrees of difficulty.

‘HUMS’ stands for the Hamo Ukulele Musical Society. We are a community based group located on Hamilton Island. We come from all walks of life, are of different ages, and have different goals. But we all have one passion, that is playing the Ukulele.

S.C.U.M. meet twice a month for two hours of uking and singing. We invite you to come and join us. Everyone’s welcome. Membership is a $10 annual fee with a $2 donation each meeting attended. We have a lot of fun with a wonderful big session lead by Lynne, Geoff & Trevor.

The aim of the club is to help people discover the joy of playing Ukulele and also use those skills to play with confidence at other music clubs, music festivals or special performances.
